Örjan Andersson
Worms Kvintett

Örjan Andersson has quickly made international success with some of Europe’s largest contemporary dance companies. With his sense for music and a strong sense for style, he has created carefully composed performances for the larger scenes. With Worms Kvintett he proved that he also can create an overall poetic picture of dance, music, images and text in the smaller format.

Worms kvintett was performed in Stockholm, Gävle, Umeå and Jönköping.

Pieces of me

One of Sweden’s newest and enthralling choreographers has presented a new work, created at Dansens Hus within the frame of bids for young female chorographers. The performance describes that we all consists of different personalities and how once ego changes through the eyes of others. Nair’s personal dance language is fetched from her Swedish-Indian background.

Pieces of me was performed in Stockholm, Umeå, Linköping and Jönköping.

it´s only a rehearsal

The Norwegian choreographer Ina Christel Johannessen and the Swedish light-designer Jens Sethzman formed zero visibility corp in 1996. They work almost only with experimental electro music. Movements and lights are on equal terms in their performance, visual elements. They used a text by Ovid in this performance.

It’s only a rehearsal was performed in Linköping, Jönköping, Gävle and Arvika.

Malin Hellkvist Sellén
Projekt – genusneutral armé på uppdrag & De gråtande barnen

On stage the choreographer Malin Hellkvist Sellén visualizes through contemporary dance, performance and installation, her interests in body, politics and aesthetics. She examines the male and female gender through variable processes on stage.

Project – genusneutral armé på uppdrag & De gråtande barnen was performed in Umeå and Linköping.

Margaretha Åsberg & Pyramiderna

This is Margaretha Åsberg’s new creation after five years. She received a brilliant reception from both critics and audience on the opening night in Stockholm. A chorography which springs from a deep engagement in women’s living conditions, created by the artist who introduced the postmodern dance to Sweden, and became the country’s first professor in chorographic composition.

Sasha Pepelyaev & Peeter Jalakas
Swanlake

One of Russia’s foremost contemporary choreographer Sasha Pepelyaev together with the Baltic producer Peeter Jalakas, have created something quite unique with the classical bally Swanlake. The way Swanlake is produced, through a collage of voice, mime, dance and performance, makes Swanlake a symbol of a fragmented world where nothing is certain or defined.

Swanlake was performed in Stockholm, Linköping and Umeå.

Lena Josefsson & Kompani Raande-Vo
Rasande rytmisk skälvande skör

Rasande rytmisk skälvande skör is the work of Lena Josefsson after her return as head of her own company Raande-Vo. She was prevoius the artistic director of Skånes Dansteater and Orionteatern, Dancers and musicians from two continents meet on stage and new languages and movements arise, seething with rhythm and happiness. Dance in Värmland produced the performance in collaboration with Raande-Vo Company 2004 and became the second performance to be produced within Dansnät Sverige.

Rasande rytmis skälvande skör was performed in Kristinehamn, Karlstad, and Säffle. The tour continued in Spring 2005.

Charlotte Engelkes
Miss Jekyll & Hyde

With her solid background in dance- and performance, Charlotte Engelkes inspires of different scenic languages; obvious in her own performance: dance, theatre, stand-up and silent films. Four actors meet on stage with different artistic backgrounds in a bizarre and absurd search for Mr Hyde.

Miss Jekyll & Hyde was performed in Västerås, Linköping and Gävle.

GöteborgsOperans balett
Push!

GöteborgsOperan has quickly advanced from being a provincial company to a highly interesting international company since the opening of the new opera house in 1994. Through the work of the choreographers Nacho Duato, Nicolo Fonte and Birgitta Egerbladh does the evening’s mixed program exhibits the breadth of both the company and their contemporary artform.

Push! Was performed in Linköping and Umeå.

Kungliga baletten

Established by Gustav III year 1773 Kungliga baletten (the Swedish Royal Bally) is today the world’s oldest dance company and the only company who regularly dance classical ballet on stage. The evening’s mixed program not only offered classical ballet from Swanlake, but also contemporary dance, newly created by the two choreographers Nacho Duato and Mats Ek.

The performance was performed in Linköping and Gävle.
