Why we co-produce

Dansnät Sverige co-produces performances in order to strengthen the conditions for production for the independent dance field. By contributing early on in the process with a more stable economy together with a knowledge of the tour context, we want to enable dance artists to maintain their artistic vision throughout the entire creative process.

When we co-produce, we develop a closer relationship to danceartists and build structures for co-production processes in Sweden. Our national co-productions should result in ecologically sustainable productions, longer production and tour periods, good working conditions for those involved in the production process, and an increased knowledge of co-production among Swedish presenters and theatres.
