Sofia Södergård
ChoreographerSofia Södergård is a dancer, choreographer, actor and DJ. Having done her training on the New York club and street dance scene, at Balettakademien in Stockholm and at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts, she has a broad repertoire that is always rooted in feminism and challenging issues. Södergård is one of the founders of the dance company P*fect, which has performed at Sadler’s Wells in London, Melodifestivalen in Sweden and Juste Debout in Paris and has been associated with Lady Gaga. She has also toured as her drag-king alter ego Qarl Qunt with both Dansnät Sverige and Sweden’s national touring theatre, Riksteatern. rnrnIn recent years, she has choreographed productions such as the musical Cabaret at Den Nationale Scene, Familjen Kaos’ Slå Pattarna i Taket and Angels in America at Dramaten. She was also involved in Falk Richter’s show “PRIDE” at the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen. Sofia Södergård toured with Dansnät Sverige in the autumn of 2022, featuring in performance artist Charlotte Engelkes’ work Transplantation.
