A statement about female power

Nicolas Huchard is, to say the least, a pivotal figure on the Parisian cultural scene. With many strings to his bow, his dancing versatility has opened doors to collaborations with luxury brands LVMH and Jean-Paul Gaultier as well as with French megastars. He has also had the privilege of dancing and choreographing for Madonna’s Madame X tour.

But now it’s time for his own company to take centre stage. Dansnät Sverige is taking Huchard’s The Barefoot Diva on tour, a production featuring five black female divas. Using waacking, krump, hip hop, house and afro, they celebrate the female body in all its individuality and diversity. Collectively, they express the feminine movement and energy that pulses through history, driving change.

The Barefoot Diva pays tribute to the extraordinary power of every woman.

Choreographer

Frenchman Nicolas Huchard has several exciting collaborations in his repertoire. He has performed with French stars such as Aya Nakamura, Shay and Kiddy Smile and has also teamed up with luxury labels LVMH and Jean-Paul Gaultier. In addition, he has appeared in Vogue Portugal and GQ France and has had the honour of dancing and choreographing for Madonna’s Madame X tour. Since 2018, Huchard has been running the dance company Company Nicolas Huchard, where he indulges his interest in boundaries and creates works with political impact.
